Public Affairs Committee (PAC) is today scheduled to meet the leadership of the Association of Persons with Albinism in Malawi (APAM) to discuss issues surrounding attacks, abductions and killings of persons with albinism.

PAC Publicity Secretary Father Peter Mulomole confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak broadcasting Station (ZBS).

“The Public Affairs Committee has lined up interface meetings with APAM and Chiefs Forum on 25 March, 2019 at 2.30pm and 10.00am respectively at Mount Soche Hotel, Blantyre.

“The purpose of the meetings is to learn and interact on issues persons with albinism are facing,” said Mulomole.

He added: “Public Affairs Committee further intends to engage the Herbalist Association of Malawi later in the week once confirmed with the group.”

So far 25 people living with albinism have been killed in Malawi with several others missing.
