The National Planning Commission (NPC) Board has appointed renowned economist Thomas Chataghalala Munthali as the Director General of the Commission, through a competitive recruitment process as required under the National Planning Commission (NPC) Act of 2017.
Launched in Lilongwe early last year, NPC is mandated to formulate the medium and long-term development plans of the country and coordinate their implementation.
