United Transformation Movement (UTM) runningmate, Dr. Michael Usi said that the party is not afraid or shaken of other political parties on the forthcoming general elections on May, 21.

Usi said this on Sunday, March 24 at Makhetha primary school football ground in Machinjiri Township, Blantyre.

“We are not afraid of any political party and their manifestos”. Usi said.

Usi further said that UTM through its leader Saulos Chilima will totally reduce the price for fertilizer if voted into power.

“UTM knows what Malawians need from their leaders and one of it is cheap fertilizer. So we will put fair price for fertilizer that every citizen will manage to buy it.” Usi stated.

Apart from bringing fair price for fertilizer, he also promised the general public UTM will increase jobs opportunities in Malawi.

Usi added: “We will add up the number of said 10 million jobs for Malawians because I have connection from different countries. This will happen if you make a right choice by voting for UTM.”

UTM youth director, Bon Kalindo also said that the party will concentrate much in articulating the party’s manifesto rather than attacking other political parties as is the case with the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

“We don’t talk about other political parties in our campaign rallies. We are doing what we are supposed to do.”  Kalindo confessed.

Meanwhile, Usi and Kalindo have argued the general public to make their own choice before May 21.
