President for Umodzi Party Professor John Chisi has asked for special national prayers to move the country from calamities it is going through.
He said the recent floods that have affected fourteen districts and the road accident that has killed nineteen people at Kampepuza in Ntcheu are clear testimony that something is wrong in this country hence the need for special national prayers.
“There is a need for a collective for each one of us to join hands to bail out the country from what is going through with sober minds than putting a blame game on each other,” he said.
The UP leader has become the first leader to issue this statement while some people are blaming government, road users and traders over the recent accident in Ntcheu.
Chisi also said we need to pray for the country to have peaceful elections so that the country should not experience what happened in Zimbabwe, Kenya and other countries in Africa after elections.
He added that he is ready to move Malawians from the challenges they are facing socially, politically and economically if elected as president come May 2019.
