Nation Publication Limited has apologized to Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president and withdrawn the story published on March 27 on its online platform.

The publication issued the apology following critisisms it has been receiving for publishing a story entitled ‘Chakwera’s aide nabbed’.

In the story, The Nation said Chakwera’s security guard was arrested in Lilongwe for allegedly being involved in selling albino parts.

On Wednesday police in Lilongwe arrested Dekhani Kamphamtengo, 41, for suspecting him that he was involved in trading albino parts.

From the look of things Kamphamtengo is not a security guard for Chakwera and is not connected in any way with him.

Currently, Kamphamtengo is still under police custody.
