Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) running mate Everton Chimulirenji tore apart Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president Lazarus Chakwera that he should be prepared to have another term as a leader of opposition.

Chimulirenji was speaking at a rally in Lilongwe at Mkoko trading center in Kalolo.

During the rally, Chimulirenji told the crowd that President Peter Mutharika has delivered what he promised to Malawians.

“President Mutharika has delivered and he should be re-elected,” Chimulirenji said

He further added that DPP is holding rallies in rural areas to ensure that it remains in power and that MCP should remain in the opposition.

Chimulirenji who is also a minister of Civic Education has promised people of Kalolo that DPP will bail them out from the challenges they are facing.

He further advised DPP candidates to campaign peacefully and avoid intimidating their opponents.

In her remarks DPP’s Secretary General Grelzedar Jeffery urged people of Kalolo to vote for DPP saying the party has welfare of people at heart.
