South Africa – Meeting has been held between African Diplomats and South African Authorities over recent xenophobic attacks.

300 Malawians were affected have been in displaced in Springfield in Durban.

The meeting was chaired by Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Hon. Lindiwe Sisulu and Police Minister Bheke Cele.

Others included the Police Commissioner and provincial police commissioners.

Concerns were raised regarding recent and historical xenophobic attacks and measures that have been taken to stem the attacks.

South Africa government has assured of safety of foreign nationals and their properties and that any attack on them will be deemed criminal.
