Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) aspiring Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Centre Limbani Kalilani well known as Tay Grin has said that 90 youths will benefit in the first phase of the driving school initiative.
Limbani Kalilani has launched the free driving school at Njanje Ground in Area 25 in the constituency.
Kalilani said he believes that the driving school will enable the youths to concentrate and build their future.
He also expressed hope that the training will reduce some of the challenges youths in the constituency are facing.
“I promised people in this constituency that I will launch this driving school and now I have put my words into action, in the first phase we will recruit 90 people who will be grouped in 4 which means that we will be training 15 people only at a time,” Kalilani said.
In his remarks, Central Region Vice President for the DPP Uladi Mussa asked people in the constituency to vote for Peter Mutharika in the elections and Kalilani as Member of Parliament.
On the launch, Senior Group Fumbwe asked the party to consider constructing a school at area 5 saying pupils walk a long distance to access education.
Senior District Governor Mussa Saidi pledged that the ruling party will make sure to do what they can because they put the needs of people at heart.
Lilongwe City Centre Constituency has six wards with 14 candidates who are contesting on the position of Member of Parliament.
