President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is scheduled to launch the Health Situation Room at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe today.

According to the Office of the President and Cabinet, the launch is scheduled to start at half past two in the afternoon.

The Health Situation Room is expected to be receiving and processing data for various health services and to reach more people with the services.

It also aims at speeding up streamlining communication between policy makers and implementers to help Malawi stay on track to reach its national HIV and health targets.

One of Malawi’s Sustainable Development Goals is to end HIV by 2030, therefore the Health Situation Room is aiming at fulfilling the promise.
