Nakoma said Mwanamveka is giving Traditional Leaders money and threatening them not to attend his political meetings.

“He directed the Headmaster of Mulunde School not to release chairs to be used at my political meeting and the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) should investigate this,” he said.

Nakaoma said people are not aware that Parliament was dissolved on 20th March saying that some people that are contesting for May elections are cheating people that they are still MPs taking advantage of the people’s ignorance.

He said this issue is happening in most areas but in Chiradzulu South Constituency is worse saying that some Traditional Leaders refused to speak at his political rally because were threatened not to do so.

“The youthS are also worried because they have just finished playing a football bonanza launched by Mwanamveka some time ago but as of to date they have not received their money and worse still he has launched another one that will end on 20th May,” he said.

Nakoma said he also launched a football bonanza for teams to compete in the area but he already paid the money on the same day.

“Am wondering why this is only happening to me among the Shadow Members of parliament that are contesting in the area,” he wondered.

Attempts to hear views from Mwanamveka on the said allegations proved futile as he could not be reached on his mobile cellphone.
