Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) southern region vice president Kondwani Nankhumwa has promised to construct Nchalo Secondary School at Nchalo in Chikwawa once DPP is re-elected into power.

Nankhumwa made the remarks during a campaign political rally at Nchalo Trading Centers and Chikwawa Boma.

Nankhumwa said the boarding school will be constructed following the promised made by President Peter Mutharika to construct 200 secondary schools in the country.

“As you are aware, President Arthur Peter Mutharika has promised to construct about 200 new secondary schools across the country. I am pleased to inform you that one of the secondary schools will be constructed here at Nchalo,” said Nankhumwa.

He added that, Nchalo Secondary School would be a continuation of many development initiatives the DPP government under Mutharika has implemented in Lower Shire.
