United Transformation Movement (UTM) aspiring Member of Parliament for Blantyre Kabula, Felix Njawala has advised people of his prospective constituency not to be moved by politicians who give them handouts.
He however asked people who gathered at Namilango Primary School ground in Machinjiri to vote for leaders who are promising to bring long lasting solutions to their problems.
In his remarks Njawala said handouts cannot provide their health care.
“Handouts cannot help you to go to the hospital; they will not make drugs available,” Njawala said.
Njawala pointed out that the money they are using to buy handouts are tax payers’ money.
“They are busy using our money for campaign,”
He added, “Let us show them that we are not fools,”
He further pleaded with the people that they should not waste another five years for a mere K5000.
“Let us not waste another five years in a single day because of K5000,” he said.
In order to win people’s hearts, Njawala narrated UTM manifesto saying it is the only party that has transformative ideas.
He added that UTM administration will fulfill all its promises.
He therefore urged people to vote for UTM leader Saulos Chilima, shadow councilor for the ward and him as their Member of Parliament.
