Malawi police are currently looking for a man identified as Saulosi Moses of Hebalikusala village in the area of traditional authority Malema in Nsanje for allegedly raping two women at once.

The victims whose names have been withheld are a 38-year-old nurse who hails from Magulugulu village in the area of traditional authority Malema in Nsanje and a 24-year-old 4th year student of community development at Soche Techinical College.

Reports say the suspect was selling Njenjeti (Nsansi) in the victims’ village when he met the victims and convinced them that he also assists to catch criminals of any crime.

This was after the victim had told him that cattle and various items from them got stolen. The suspect told them he would help them at his house hence the trio made it to the said house.

Whilst there, he ordered them to remove their clothes, he closed the door and told them to avoid shouting.

He then raped them one by one repeatedly from 1800hrs to 0400hrs during the night of 23 to 24 April.

The matter was reported to Nsanje police and they were referred to Nsanje Hospital for an examination which showed they were really raped.

Meanwhile, the hunting of the suspect is underway.
