Malawi Electoral Commission MEC has disqualified United Democratic Front UDF parliamentary aspirant for Blantyre North East, Bakali Osman for presenting fake certificate to the electoral body.
Director of Media and Public Relations for MEC Sangwani Mwafulirwa confirmed the development with faceofmalawi reporter on Sunday.
Mwafulirwa said Osman presented fake Malawi School Certificate of Education MSCE to MEC.
He said the country’s examinations administering body, the Malawi National Examinations Board MANEB has confirmed that Osman’s MSCE certificate is not genuine.
