A 19-year-old boy identified as Shingirai Mchizi has been killed on Tuesday night at Ekwendeni tavern.
According to Mzuzu public relations officer Paul Tembo, the deceased was drinking at the said tavern when he met his fate.
“He met unknown criminals when he went out to answer the call of nature and they stabbed him multiple times on the chest and the head. He was left unconscious,” said the PRO.
He died upon his arrival at hospital and a postmortem revealed the cause of death as severe blood loss.
Meanwhile, police are hunting for the unknown culprits to face the law.
