Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that suspected youth cadets for the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) attempted to abduct daughter of Nkhoma C.C.A.P Synod Moderator Reverend Bizwick Nkhoma in the capital Lilongwe.

The development comes barely two weeks after the Synod released a Pastoral letter guiding its members on what kind of leader to choose in the forthcoming May 21 tripartite election.

Nkhoma Synod General Secretary Vasco Kachipapa confirmed of the incident in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

According to Kachipapa, the DPP youth cadets stormed the school where Nkhoma’s daughter is learning pretending to have been sent by her father to pick her.

He said the girl refused the offer by the said DPP cadets and she later informed her father of the whole ordeal.

Kachipapa has since linked the abduction attempt to the recent Pastoral letter released by the church trashing the DPP government led by President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.

He said since the release of the letter Pastors at church have been receiving calls from unknown people threatening them.

Effort to talk to DPP Spokesperson Nicholas Dausi proved futile.
