A 12-month-year-old baby from Zambia, Lusaka’s Kanyama compound has died after his father accidentally drove over him with his Toyota Hilux.
The accident happened on Monday, April, 6th, 2019, at around 09:00 hours and that the boy sustained head injuries and died on the spot.
Deputy Police Spokesperson Mr. Rae Hamoonga has told local press in Zambia that the accident happened when the deceased’s father identified as Wambinji Chinga, 42, who was driving a Toyota Hilux Registration Number ABL 7312 was negligently reversing and in the process hit into the boy.
Mr. Hamoonga said the father has been charged for Causing Death by Dangerous Driving and released on police bond.
