Umodzi Party president Professor John Chisi has once again dismissed claims that some are saying linking him to the governing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
He said he has never been DPP and he will never because he has a party to lead which has good ideas to develop this country.
“Commending government where it has done well does not mean that you have joined it because some people do not understand the role of the opposition,” he said.
The role of the opposition is to provide checks and balances to the government and this is what l has been doing all along saying that he was the first person to criticize government over the land bill.
The UP leader also said he criticize the Mutharika administration for failing to employ primary school teachers which now were employed.
He said that he is looking forward to end the sufferings that Malawians are facing if voted into power in the coming tripartite elections with visionary leadership.
