Independent Shadow councilor for Mkolokoti ward Ben Gowelo has outlined his vision for the ward if elected as councilor in coming tripartite elections.

He said he has decided to contest as councilor to reform and bring development to the ward in the areas of Agriculture, Health and Education.

“I will ensure that there should be markets at Khama, Nakulenga and Makhetha were people could sale their farm produce.I will bring irrigation farming as one way of making the ward to be food secure and ensure that equipment should be available,” he said.

Gowelo said he will bring early childhood development and kindergarten centers in all schools in the ward.

He will also ensure that there should be a primary and secondary school at fargo area for the youth to ease congestion in some schools because currently Mkolokoti primary school has seventy eight teachers against close to ten thousand learners.

“I will build a recreation Centre, library and a hall for the youth to interact with each other and as a means of reducing early pregnancies, drug and alcohol abuse among the youth. I will also ensure that there should be a technical school at fargo for the youth to learn vocational skills,” he said.

Gowelo further said that he will ensure that there should be unity among all political parties as well as concrete bridges for easy movement.

He said he was approached by people of the area to contest as councilor after noting that he is capable of bringing change in the ward in as far as the issues of development are concerned.

Gowelo has since asked people for the ward to vote for him if they want to see change.
