United Transformation Movement (UTM) patron Noel Masangwi said it is high time President Peter Mutharika is advised to retire because he cannot handle the pressure of the office of the president.

Masangwi said this at Mponda Freedom Ground in Zomba during a campaign political rally organized by Saulos Chilima the party’s president who is also the country’s vice president.

Masangwi told the huge crowd that it is clear that Mutharika whom he calls Ambuyanga (uncle) cannot go on ruling this country.

“It is clear that he cannot go on and giving him five more years will be an insult,” Masangwi said.

He had that Mutharika should be left to retire and not to rest.

“Mutharika should retire not rest as they are doing to him now,” he said.

Mutharika, compared to 2014 elections campaign, has not been active in vote hunting hence Masangwi’s remarks that he should retire.

“Let him pack and go with owner,” added Masangwi.

Mutharika, 80 postponed his campaign rallies on two occasions this week. 1WE(
