Security enforcement agencies in the country are geared up to ensuring national peace as citizens go to the polls on Tuesday, next week.
Malawi Police Service has confirmed the development.
The national security system is made up of all the National security agencies in the country, namely; Malawi Police Service (MPS), Malawi defense Force (MDF), Malawi Prison Services and the Immigration Department.
One of the key elements to ensuring peace and order during and after elections is an effective security system.
In previous elections, MEC mainly used the police for security in polling stations and other places where electoral materials were stationed.
The police are however keeping a tight lid on the numbers of officers to be deployed in the 5,002 stations across the country. [%
