US donates equipment to MDF

LILONGWE – United States ambassador Virginia Palmer on Thursday handed over new military equipment worth $1.3 million to the Malawi Defence Force (MDF).
The equipment include ballistic helmets and vests.
According to sources, the donation will go towards 850 MDF soldiers on United Nations (UN) peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
