It is said that yester night, Dausi had instructed people to go and distribute DPP party materials at the said constituency – a situation which angered people who said they no longer want Mr Dausi at the constituency.

A video has circulated online in which people are seen explaining what has led to the smashing of the vehicle while saying they are tired with Mr Dausi at the constituency.

In the video, the vehicle can be seen with one of its windows completely smashed.

On Monday, social media was awashed with rumours that Dausi was on Sunday manhandled by security officers in Neno for wanting to interfere with the electoral process.

But Dausi trashed the rumour in an interview with one of the local daily papers (National Publications Limited, saying he is surprised that there are rumours that he has been beaten.

“I am ok. I know there are people who are creating stories that are not true. I have not been beaten,” Dausi was quoted as saying.

Mwanza Police Public Relations Officer Inspector Edwin Kaunda also denied the rumours that Dausi has been attacked.
