Nkhunga Police have arrested a monitor for an independent candidate for Nkhotakota North East for trying to vote twice.

Nkhunga Police publicist Ignatius Esau confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the suspect as Assan Kazeze.

Kazeze has contravened Section 115 (c) of the Presidential and Parliamentary Act.

The suspect was caught at Majiga Primary School where he was representing Parliamentary candidate Francis Kapanda.

Meanwhile, local government polling materials for Dedza West have been found at Chizeo Primary School.

Constituency returning officer Hastings Mwale confirmed the development saying the matter has been reported to MEC.
