Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson Justice Dr. Jane Ansah on Sunday lost her patience during a press briefing over remarks made by Capital radio reporter.

The reporter, MacFarlen Mbewe complimented Ansah saying that she looked beautiful in her earings.

On a serious not as Mbewe put it he said Thabo Mbeki former South African president left the country in anger because he was not happy with the whole election management.

In unusual way Ansah seemed angered with the reporter’s line of questioning and took the whole situation personal.

Ansah asked the reporter his age and his education background.

Responding to Ansah’s questions Mbewe said he is 30 and that he is doing his degree at Malawi College of Accountancy (MCA).

Master of Ceremony (MC) of the briefing Sangwani Mwafulirwa cautioned Mbewe to avoid reflecting on MEC chair.

Soon after the questions, Mbewe Left the COMESA hall in Blantyre where the press briefing was taking place and one of his colleagues apologized to Ansah and MEC officials.
