Federation of Disability Organization in Malawi (FEDOMA) says it expects the newly-elected parliamentarians to advocate for inclusive rights of persons with disabilities.

This has been said following the failure to produce disabled legislators in the just ended election.

Fedoma Program Manager Simon Munde says increased stigma and resource constraints are some of the factors which affected the performance of aspirants in the ended election.

Fedoma thinks it’s high time the country reserved some seats in the parliament in which only disabled contestants would compete.
