Malawi Congress Party (MCP) supporters in Dedza district are holding a peaceful march against the outcome of the May 21 tripartite election which saw President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika being declared winner.

MCP President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and United Transformation Movement (UTM) President Dr. Saulos Chilima are protesting the outcome of the May 21 tripartite election.

The two parties are accusing DPP of rigging the polls and they have since filed a lawsuit to the High Court.

Despite filling the court, MCP supporters together with opposition Peoples Party (PP) and Freedom Party (FP) have been holding peaceful protest across the country.

On Tuesday, the MCP supporters continued with the protest in Zomba and Dedza.

In Zomba the MCP supporters Matched peacefuly to Zomba District Council to present their petition regarding the outcome of the May 21 polls.
