The Malawi Network for older Persons (MANEPO) has said it is drafting a bill that will enable the country to start rolling out the older Persons Pension Scheme.
This has been said by, the Country Director for MANEPO Andrew Kavala.
In his remarks Kavala said once the bill passes it will help to improve the lives and welfare of the elderly.
He added that the initiative will help to mitigate poverty levels amongst them (the elderly) as the scheme will help in taking care of some responsibilities the elderly have.
