Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that two senior officials from accounts department at Dedza district Council have been suspended for misuse of council funds.
The two are Davie Chimtengo and Angel Namaluweso.
Dedza District Commissioner, Paul Kalilombe confirmed of the suspension in an interview with one of the local daily papers in the country (Daily Times).
According to Kalilombe, the suspension has been done to pave way for investigations.
He said Dedza district has been facing financial constraints that have been affecting the operations of the council, particularly Dedza District Hospital , in the past years.
Kalilombe said Dedza District Hospital has been failing to purchase medical drugs, food for patients and other necessary materials.
