The so called Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) victory match which was expected to take place today in Blantyre has been cancelled.

The cancellation of the parade comes in following a court order to allow civil society activists stage peaceful protests in the commercial city.

The parade was organized by the just appointed deputy minister of Transport and public works Charles Mchacha.

According to some sources the so called DPP victory match was organized to confuse the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

“The aim was just to confuse the HRD,” said the source.

Meanwhile the CSOs are holding their peaceful demonstrations in all cities across the country.
