As one way of promoting insurance services and family interaction, Insurance Institute of Malawi on Saturday organized a one day interaction day aimed to promoting their services at College of Medicines Sports Complex where several Insurance companies participated.

Speaking in an interview President of Insurance Institute of Malawi Maclonex Mwase said the main aim of organizing the annual event was to share knowledge and experience on how they can expand their marketing base out of the Office.

He also said the event was aimed at discussing the challenges which the insurance companies are facing and on how they can attract more clients to know insurance services.

“As Insurance companies in the country we need to share experiences and knowledge so that the insurance companies can grow and woo more customers,” he said.

Branch Manager for Vanguard Insurance Company Limited Enock Jones Kamphonje concurred with Mwase saying the day was is important because it act as platform to promote their services and give awareness to their customers to know their services.

“The day which took place every year assist our staff to market our services and we display banners as one way of promoting the services,” he said.

Organizing Chairperson Ted Makunje said the function is there so that Insurance companies can socialize outside the office.

Some of the companies which took place include BRITAM, Kingfisher Insurance Brokers and Consultancy Limited, NICO Life, Old Mutual, Emeritas, Mahogany Insurance Brokers Limited,  Re Union Insurance, United General Insurance  Company, General Alliance just to mention but a few. During the function companies walk away with cash plus trophies and some of the activities which took place are Football, Netball, Volleyball, Basketball, Chess, Darts, 100 meters race for both women and men.
