He ranks among the top guitarists of our time, Yang Chitika now makes his first attempt to a studio project. Produced by one of the fastest rising Lilongwe based producer, Chozizwa, Yang’s My Heartbeat is already enjoying radio airplay and just days ago he has released its visuals.

This is Yang’s first single from his yet to be named album slated for release December this year.

“I chose to collaborate with Krazy G because he easily fused in my music touch. He is my cousin and we have come along way. His flow effortlessly conformed to my guitar rhythm”, Yang explained.

He said: “another single is in the works. Me and my team are presently working on the logistics. As at now, enjoy My heartbeat in audio and visual formats. “

Yang Chitika also known as Yang, is a Malawian Recording Afro-Jazz Singer, Vocalist and Guitarist. Born on 2nd January, 1981, Yang was inspired by Malawian Legendary Singer, Code Sangala in 2006. In 2008, he developed a passion to learn how to play a guitar, through another inspiration by Faith Mussa, apart from just being a vocalist. He spent most of his time playing in church band from 2009 to enhance his skills and serve God at the same time.

He holds an MBA and BSCIT from Amity University, India and Computer Science Certificate from the prestigious University of Malawi, Chancellor College respectively.

It was while at Chancellor College that he started to gain momentum as a performing artist. Yang has worked with some of the prominent artists in Malawi and beyond such as Praise Peterson (SA), Faith Mussa, Lawi, Patience Namadingo, Joshua Matonga, Julius Jules Banda, Erik Paliani, Enerst Ikwanga.

He has also performed at high profile events such as Ovation Fusion festival (2017), Tumaini festival (2018), Ufulu festival (2017-2018), Lake of Stars (2018).
