The president elect in the May 21 Tipp-Ex elections Peter Mutharika of has insisted that Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) won the elections fair and square.

Mutharika said the remarks at Chambe Primary School ground in Mulanje when he opened the K12 billion Zomba-Jali-Phalombe-Chitakale Road which is a 102 kilometres long.

The 78 year old president said the opposition were bad losers urged them to join him in rebuilding the country.

“The opposition is destroying everything I am putting up, but let me tell them I will not get tired they are burning schools and hospitals, but whenever I do that, I will reconstruct them until they get tired,” he said.

He further stressed out that in elections, there can be only one winner and he is the winner, and that the opposition should embrace that.
Chakwera and Chilima are challenging the presidential results and the case is expected to start on July 29.
