All is set for the mayoral elections in Blantyre.

On the Mayor title, former Mayor Wild Ndipo is seeking for a second term in office and is being challenged by a fellow Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) member Gertrude Mkandawire and United Transformation Movement (UTM) Leonard Chimbanga.

Former deputy mayor Joseph Makwinja who is also seeking re-election is facing off fellow DPP councilor Isaac Jomo Osman, and UTM’s Thoko Phekani among other challengers.
