Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is this afternoon expected to hold a media briefing in the capital Lilongwe over torching of the party’s regional office in Blantyre.
MCP Secretary General, Eisenhower Mkaka confirmed of the development in an interview with the press short while ago.
Mkaka said Chakwera is expected to comment on the petrol-bombing of the party’s office in Blantyre among other issues.
Unknown people suspected to be youth cadets for the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) on Sunday night set ablaze MCP regional office.
The incident happened at around 10 pm, according to an eyewitness.
The motive behind is not known at the moment.
