A 34-year-old Zambian man from Luapula Province has fled and earned himself a place on the police wanted list after defiling his 9-year-old biological daughter.
The evil man is said to have continuously defiled his daughter for week after she and her 4-year-old sibling were left in his solo custody while his wife attended an eight-day workshop at local hotel.
The defilement is said to have happened between July 10 and July 19, Mwebantu reports.
The matter was reported to the police by the man’s 28-year-old wife and mother of the child.
According to police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo, the man and the children were spending nights at a house of mourning in the neighborhood while their mother was away.
“On returning home on July 20 from the workshop, she was surprised that the children arrived without their father and noticed that the older child was limping.
“Upon interrogation, the child revealed that her father had been having sex with her from the day their mother left for the workshop,” said Katongo.
The child had sustained bruises on her private parts and puss was coming out.
The mother informed people but her husband had already escaped.
A search for the suspect has been launched as he is currently on the run.
