Neno Police Station oriented members of the community policing from Traditional Authority Mlauli on crime prevention and security of people with albinism on Thursday.

In his remarks, Neno Police Officer in Charge, Denis Nankondwa commended the participants for their hard work and team spirit as demonstrated in course of their duty of fighting crime in the area.

He continued by asking the members of the community to partner with the police in as far as protection is concerned.

“As a community, we should continue working hard as a unit. Let’s develop this good work relationship between the police and communities,” he said.

Vice Chairperson for the committee, Watson Chekucheku, described the orientation as timely, saying the community will benefit a lot.

He also commended Neno Police for equipping them with better knowledge in security and crime reduction.

“The training has been organized at the right time and it will benefit the community at large. I hope and pray that my fellow members will continue working hard for the betterment of the community,” said Chekucheku.

After the training, Neno Police Officer in Charge presented gifts to some children with albinism within the area of Ligowe.
