The Limbe Senior Resident Magistrates court has convicted and sentenced Saidi Salephera Mambo aged 23 to spend the next 4 years in jail for burglary and theft.
It is reported that Mambo committed the offence alongside his two accomplices on August 31, 2018 at around 2 am in Limbe.
The three ransacked a shop belonging to Miss Martha Lungu, a Chiwembe resident and stole assorted items which included clothes valued at over 1.5 million Kwacha.
Mambo was arrested on 24 November, 2018, but his two accomplices are still at large.
Passing judgment, Senior Resident Magistrate Martin Chipofya sentenced Saidi to 4 years imprisonment with hard labour to deter other would be offenders.
