United Transformation Movement (UTM) President Dr. Saulos Chilima has joined the ongoing demonstrations to force Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson Dr. Jane Ansah to resign for failing to manage the May 21 polls in Blantyre.
Speaking to the protesters gathered at Kamuzu Upper Stadium, Chilima urged protesters to observe peace and order in their quest to force MEC chairperson Jane Ansah to resign.
On Friday night, Attorney General Kalekeni Kaphale applied for an injunction to stop the Human Right Defenders Coalition (HRDC) from holding the demonstrations.
But High Court Judge Justice Kenyatta Nyirenda dimissed the application this morning.
