Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) chairperson, Timothy Mtambo, has said they are now contemplating to take Anti-Jane Ansah to the next step, considering that the beleaguered Malawi Electoral Commission Chairperson has not resigned despite their vigils.
He said they are now considering taking the demonstrations to all boarders and airports of the country.
Addressing people at the end of the vigil, Mtambo said the protests will now be done in those strategic places as government seems not to care about their demands.
He has told the people to peacefully return home, saying the next demonstrations will be held at the borders and airports until Ansah resigns.
Yesterday’s demonstrations ended with chaos especially in the capital Lilongwe where a house of a police man, police armour vehicle were among properties that were torched.
