A 15 year old boy has been killed after a wall collapsed while extracting minerals on Saturday along Lisungwi river banks at Basikolo Village in Ntcheu District.
Ntcheu Police Spokesperson, Hastings Chigalu confirmed the development saying the incident has also left one other person seriously injured.
Chigalu said both victims are minors and are below the age of 15.
The deceased, Talandila James, died on the spot due to suffocation while the other victim sustained serious head injuries.
Both victims hail from Basikolo Village, Sub Traditional Authority Tsikulamowa in the district.
