President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has sent a condolence message to His Excellency John Pombe Magufuli, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, following the tragic death of more than 70 people after a fuel tanker explosion that occurred in Morogoro, on 10th August, 2019.
According to a statement from the Office of President and Cabinet (OPC), President Mutharika has learnt with deep sorrow of the tragic death of more than 70 Tanzanians and that a tragedy of such nature is inexplicable and inconsolable to the families affected and the entire country.
Through the statement the President says words alone cannot convey his deepest sympathy and sorrow.
The President Mutharika has assured President Magufuli that in this very difficult time as the Tanzanian nation mourns; The Malawian nation is with them in prayer and thoughts.
