Seven people are reported dead while three others escaped with injuries following a road accident which happened in Ntcheu District on Thursday.
Ntcheu Police Public Relations Officer, Hastings Chigalu confirmed of the accident in an interview with the press.
According to Chigalu, the accident happened when a truck, which was loaded with bales of tobacco, swerved after the driver lost control at Kanyimbo Trading Centre, just after Biliwiri.
The truck then hit a minibus and two other vehicles killing seven passengers on the sport.
Of the seven who died, six were passengers in the minibus.
Chigalu added that the injured were rushed to Ntcheu District Hospital.
