Malawi Police Service (MPS) has condemned excess use of petrol bombs to attack individuals across the country.
The condemnation has been issued in a press statement made available to Faceofmalawi signed by the national police spokesperson James Kadadzera.
“The Malawi Police Service (MPS) notes with regret growing petrol bombing acts on premises and property of prominent persons in Malawi,” reads part of the statement.
Kadadzera continued by giving out a stern warning to the perpetrators of these barbaric acts saying they will be held accountable disregarding their political affliation.
He further added that investigations are underway to ensure that those committed the crimes are arrested.
“Investigators are following up every lead to arrest these crimes,” He said.
“The Police appeals to every Malawian with information that may lead to the arrest of the masterminds of these acts of terror to come forward as their information may help the police in putting up a stronger investigation front,” pleaded Kadadzera.
Aftermath May 21 elections, the country has registered a number of petrol bombs to different people including the chairman of the Anti-Ansah demonstrations Timothy Mtambo’s houses, Sidik Mia’s Office just to mention a few.
