Treatment of patients has normalized at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital’s Gogo Chatinkha Maternity wing after temporary closure of the facility.
It was closed due to an electrical fault that was reported to have affected the health facility on Monday night.
Chatinkha ward’s theatre takes at least 30 women for deliveries on a daily basis.
Speaking in an interview the Health Services Administrator for the hospital Kondwani Chisi confirmed that the facility has been reopened.
