NAIROBI – A middle-aged man was on Tuesday found guilt in court for allegedly luring young boys into engaging in masturbation in exchange for cash.

Appearing in Ruiru Law Courts , Ayubu Muthaura was charged with engaging in indecent acts with four underage boys.

Muthaura, who was arrested at Githurai Kimbo in Ruiru, Kiambu County on Monday, is accused of luring the minors aged between 12 and 14 into a private room, where he “teaches them how to masturbate.”

Police suspect the accused was in the process of preparing the boys mentally for sexual defilement, according to K24 Digital.

Investigations by police revealed that Muthaura, who works as a cook in one of the NGOs in Nairobi, asked the boys to masturbate as he watched on diverse dates in April 2019. He is also alleged to have inappropriately touched the minors’ private parts.

Muthaura, who also operates a shop in Githurai Kimbo, is said to have enticed the boys with money, sweets and paying for them swimming classes at a pool in Ruiru.

A parent of one of the four boys noticed an abnormal change in her son’s behavior, and upon questioning him, he revealed what Muthaura had been doing to him and his friends.

The boy said the suspect often gave them Sh300 to share among themselves after every masturbation session.

The court granted the prosecution its request to detain the suspect for more days pending completion of investigations. The accused is married and has children.
