Well-known United States (US) afro soul and R’n’B band, the Temptations arrived in the country on Thursday in redness for a live performance at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe this coming Saturday.

The band which comprises of five members namely; of Carrol Hall, Bernard Gibson, Marvin Abney, Earl Lamont Vinson and Alan Tyrone Marshalle arrived in the country through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA).

The group is in the country courtesy of Africa Global Tours and Travel in partnership with with Malawian Airlines, Umodzi Park, Biz Malawi, Casino Marina and Mibawa.

The Temptations released a series of successful singles and albums with Motown Records during the 1960s and 1970s.

Almost all the original members of the band passed on but the group is carrying on with the beautiful vocals.

The band is known for R’n’B and soul music and some of its popular songs include My Girl, How Sweet it is to be loved by You and Cloud Nine.
