As cases of defamation are on the rise in the country, Police in Phalombe are keeping in custody a man for defiling a six year old girl.

Phalombe police spokesperson Innocent Moses confirmed the development.

According to Moses, the suspect is identified as Mac Lean Kaunde.

Kaunde’s arrest comes in barely few weeks after police recently arrested another man for defiling his one year old niece in the district.

The public continues to express concern as such cases are reported by the media almost every week.
