Some 16 Malawians who were reported dumped by a bus they boarded to South Africa in Mozambique arrived home on Monday through Mwanza border.

Mwanza border Spokesperson Pasqually Zulu confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

According to Zulu, whilst in transit the bus had a breakdown in Tete and some of the passengers took advantage of the situation to buy some food stuffs but on their way back from the shops they found the bus gone.

Zulu said all the 16 who left the country on 3 September are from Mzimba district.

Meanwhile the police have launched an investigation to track-down the owner of the said bus and the motive behind.
