The High Court in Mzuzu is, today, expected to deliver its judgment for the election case in which the former parliamentarian for Nkhata Bay Central Constituency, Ralph Mhone is challenging the victory of the Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Honouble Simon Vuwa Kaunda.
The case, which has been adjourned on two occasions, was slated for 16th September by Judge Thomson Ligowe sitting at Mzuzu High Court.
In the case, Ralph Mhone is challenging that he is the rightful victor of the elections, but MEC favoured Simon Vuwa Kaunda who dishonestly won by eight votes.
Lawyers for both Mhone and Kaunda have indicated that they are ready for the judgment.
Lately, the social media has been awash with reports that the court ruled in favour of Ralph Mhone, a development which dismayed the sitting judge who issued a stern warning to the public to avoid meddling with matters of the court.
